Javelin Missile Glitch In MW2 Will Get You Banned From Live (For Two Weeks)

modern-warfare-2

Last night my cousin texted me complaining about people using a glitch in Modern Warfare 2 that turns the Javelin Missile into a suicide bomb.

Apparently you can shoot yourself up in the air and take out a few members of the enemy team with your self propelled Javelin Missile. Now I haven’t played MW2 in a few days because I have been finishing up Assassin’s Creed II, but I would probably lose it if this happened to me.

Stephen Toulouse, Director of Policy and Enforcement for Xbox LIVE, tweeted that, “While IW works on getting the MW2 glitch fixed, people we catch using it will receive suspensions from LIVE. Play fair everyone. :>”

I’m glad Microsoft and IW are stepping up to fix this problem and hopefully they will have a patch soon. Until then be on the look out for enemies flying around on missiles like they are the wicked witch from the west.
